My dog training experience

I have had more than a decade of training pet and companion dogs. I was a director of a very successful dog training business in the Southern Highlands over these years. - Tails Up Dog Training.

My dog training qualifications

As well as having a wealth of experience in training dogs, I also have formal qualifications in animal behaviour and dealing with reactive dogs.

Most problem behaviours can be cured

I fully understand that not all problems have an easy cure. But with a combination of dedication and patience on your part and the necessary skills on mine, cures can be complete.

Occasionally I meet a dog that needs more help than simply training.

In these cases, there is some preparation that might be needed.

Possible preparation

Where I suspect that an underlying health problem could be causing the unwanted behaviour, I will ask that you see your vet to get a full health check before starting any training.

In other circumstances I might recommend that you see a qualified Veterinary Behaviourist with whose guidance I would be prepared to work.

Problems I won't help with

It is very rare but there is also an occasional dog that I would not be prepared to work with.

Situations that fit this category are:

dangerous dogs (declared or undeclared);

toileting issues for which I see no cure; or

owners who are not prepared to follow my instructions or who are unable to do so.
